Delhi Congress president Devener Yadav on Thursday accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and BJP of playing with the emotions of the Jat community ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections.

Nadda addressed the party officials present at the meeting held at the Delhi State BJP office. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, senior BJP leader Baijayant Jay Panda, and other senior party leaders attended the meeting. The panels formed to look after various details of the Delhi election, which include booth management, social media, provided their feedback during the meeting.

Talking about the meeting, Sachdeva said the BJP chief reviewed the party’s preparedness for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections and gave his suggestions. The Delhi BJP president exuded confidence that the party would come out victorious in the Delhi Assembly elections. “In view of the Delhi Assembly elections, Union Minister and BJP President Nadda came to see the election preparations and also gave us many suggestions. We are moving towards victory,” Sachdeva said.

Earlier, the Delhi BJP Executive Committee meeting (BJP sanchalan samiti) was chaired by the BJP chief. Nadda, who is also the Union Health Minister, reviewed progress and shared the success mantra with the members.
The Delhi assembly elections will be held in a single phase on February 5 while the counting of votes will take place on February 8. The last date for filing nominations is January 17. The date for scrutiny of nominations is January 18. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is January 20.
Incumbent AAP, which won the previous two terms with massive margins – 67 and 62 out of 70 seats – is facing a stiff two-pronged challenge against BJP and the Congress and will be seeking a fourth term by showcasing its ‘performance’ in the areas of education and health as well as the plethora of welfare schemes.
